Swedish Futsal has signed a multi-year agreement with Sportway as its new production and platform partner. The partnership will see to that all matches in Sweden’s top futsal leagues for both women and men produced and made available to viewers through a new digital platform.
The agreement is an important part of Swedish Futsal’s efforts to develop the leagues, improve broadcast quality and make Swedish elite futsal accessible to a wider audience. The new solution will also create better opportunities for editorial content, magazine shows, highlights and commercial exposure.
“This is an important step in the development of Swedish futsal. Together with Sportway, we are gaining a modern, long-term production solution that enables us to bring our matches and content together in a clearer and more professional way. It strengthens the experience for supporters while creating new opportunities for clubs, partners and the sport as a whole,” says Per Broberg, Chairman of Swedish Futsal.
Sportway’s technology enables both automated production using AI cameras and traditional crewed production at the relevant venues. Through the new platform, fans will have a single digital destination for live broadcasts and other content from both the men’s and women’s leagues.
“We are very pleased to have been given this opportunity and look forward to working together with Swedish Futsal to develop both the broadcasts and the overall digital experience. Futsal is a fast-paced, intense and highly engaging sport for fans, making it particularly well suited to our technology. Our ambition is to help increase accessibility, expand the reach of the leagues and create even stronger engagement around them,” says William Personne, Country Manager Sweden at Sportway.
The partnership also includes the continued development of production, commentary, editorial content and digital distribution. The ambition is to create a cohesive experience that enables more people to follow Swedish futsal.
“This is about more than simply broadcasting matches. We want to build a platform where the players, clubs and stories surrounding the sport can take a more prominent role. Our partnership with Sportway gives us the tools to do this in a professional and sustainable way over the long term,” says Per Broberg, Chairman of Swedish Futsal.
The new production and platform solution will launch ahead of the 2026/27 season. Further information about the platform, subscriptions and how fans can watch the matches will be announced closer to the start of the season.
