Sportway Media Group adds Volleyball Danmark to the list of Danish federation partners, livestreaming national games and top league games from beginning of next season.
The Danish volleyball community can expect a significant increase in the exposure of their sport. Sportway Media Group has agreed on a long-term deal with Volleyball Danmark, which means Sportway will produce top tier Danish volleyball on a dedicated streaming platform starting from next season. The deal secures full coverage of all games from Volleyligaen, and all national games on senior and youth level.
The deal with Volleyball Danmark marks Sportway Media Group’s fifth partnership with a sport federation in Denmark since entering the Danish market in June 2021. Sportway already livestreams handball, ice hockey, basketball, and floorball in Denmark, with more than 150 full-automatic cameras. The new agreement will have 13 new cameras installed in Danish volleyball arenas, adding to Sportway Media Group’s ambition of having 500 camera installments across Denmark in 2024.
Anders Antonsen, CEO of Sportway Denmark, is very happy with the announcement, making it the first agreement to include senior national games: “We are very pleased with welcoming Volleyball Danmark to our list of partners. Being responsible for producing senior national games, while upscaling the number of live games from Volleyligaen, 1. and 2. division, that is something, we are proud of in Sportway Denmark”. He continues:
“What we do best in Sportway is developing innovative technology that helps the sport grow to new heights together with the fans, sponsors, coaches, and players. Therefore, we can’t wait to present our AI-based broadcasts and inviting coaches and players to use our coaching and player software.”
Daniel Franck, founder, and CEO of Sportway Media Group adds: “This announcement proves our expansion of services, as we continue to create unprecedented value to right holders and federations across Europe. After having finalized deals in new countries in the last months, I’m thrilled to put up yet another partnership in the Danish market, where we have gained a lot of trust in our services and deliverances.”
The deal between Sportway Media Group and Volleyball Danmark is the first long-term media deal for Danish volleyball, and SMG’s first deal with a volleyball federation except the MyGame partnership with Norges Idrettsforbund. The partnership also includes the possibility to increase the coverage to also include lower-tier volley leagues and youth leagues.
