FEB and Sportway Join Forces in Landmark Agreement for the broadcast of Spanish Basketball Competitions

Madrid and Stockholm, [16 Sept. 2026] — Sportway, the international media company specialising in sports video and data production utilizing state-of-the art technology, has been appointed as the exclusive broadcaster of six of the FEB’s main Competitions on BalONcesto TV, the FEB’s new pay audiovisual platform.

The Federación Española de Baloncesto and media company Sportway have today announced a landmark multi-year exclusive audiovisual rights agreement that will fundamentally transform the way Spanish basketball is produced, distributed and experienced by fans at every level of the game.

Under the agreement, Sportway acquires exclusive audiovisual rights over a broad catalogue of FEB competitions — Primera FEB, Segunda FEB, Tercera FEB, Liga Femenina Challenge, Liga Femenina 2, as well as Copa España. In doing so, it brings together for the first time a major portion of Spanish professional and semi-professional basketball on a single paid streaming platform.

A New Era for Spanish Basketball
The partnership represents the most ambitious audiovisual undertaking in the history of club basketball. Sportway will deploy its technology across more than 200 venues in Spain, delivering professional-quality live coverage of the various FEB Competitions.

All competitions will be available through a dedicated FEB platform powered by Sportway’s technology. Subscription plans and pricing will be announced in the coming weeks.

The new platform, which will launch in the coming weeks under the name BalONcesto TV, will become the home of Spanish basketball, offering an unprecedented volume of live matches for fans both in Spain and internationally.

The agreement carries the full backing of clubs across the leading FEB tiers, each of which will receive a share of the revenues generated.

This agreement represents a milestone in the history of Spanish basketball. We are proud to launch this project with Sportway, which reflects our commitment to growing the game across every tier of our FEB Competitions. It reaffirms the FEB’s belief in streaming as the way to reach fans in every corner, and marks a decisive step forward in the experience we deliver to our audiences.” Said FEB’s president Elisa Aguilar.

“We launched Sportway in Spain with a clear conviction: great basketball deserves a great broadcast, wherever it is played. This partnership gives us the platform to deliver on that conviction at scale — automated production technology at over 200 venues, and a dedicated home for Spanish basketball that fans have never had before. We are very proud to take this step together with the FEB.” Said Marco Gonzalez, CEO, Sportway Iberia.
