About the role
Sportway is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Group Finance team, responsible for accounting, reporting and compliance for our entities in Finland, Norway and Denmark, as well as part of accounting for Swedish companies.
As Senior Accountant, you will have end-to-end responsibility for the accounting function for our Nordic subsidiaries and play an important role in Group Finance. You will report directly to the Group CFO and work closely with Accounting Manager, Group Finance, Group Business Control, Country managers and auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance across jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
Full responsibility for day-to-day accounting for entities in Finland, Norway and Denmark
Monthly, quarterly and annual closings
Preparation of annual financial statements, with support from local agencies.
VAT compliance and filings in respective countries
Collaboration and coordination with local accounting firms when needed
Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and group policies
Coordinate with group business control and contribute to Group Finance reporting and process development
Drive improvements and efficiencies in accounting processes
We Are Looking for Someone Who
Has several years of experience in qualified accounting roles
Has solid experience with closings, financial statements and VAT
Has worked with multi-entity accounting, preferably in an international or Nordic setup
Has a background from accounting firm or similar (highly preferred)
Is structured, detail-oriented and able to work independently
Is proactive and thrives in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment
Is fluent in English and Swedish
