Swindon Wildcats, Basingstoke Bison and Leeds Knights of the NIHL have partnered with Sportway to launch WKBLive.tv, a new streaming platform centralising coverage of all three clubs in a single destination for the first time. WKBLive.tv goes live ahead of the 2026/27 season, which begins with pre-season friendlies on the 4th September. Under the agreement, home matches played by the three clubs, including pre-season, cup and league games, will be available to watch live and on demand through WKBLive.tv. The three clubs have until now streamed separately, meaning fans wanting to follow more than one club needed separate subscriptions for each.
The platform is built and operated by Sportway Media Group, which provides the video technology, subscription and pay-per-view payment handling, and ongoing technical support. Clubs remain responsible for producing their own match coverage and all commercial activity around their matches.
Managing Director Steve Nell said: “Bringing all three clubs together on one platform makes it much easier for supporters to follow the teams they care about. WKBLive.tv gives everyone a single home for live and on-demand coverage across Swindon, Basingstoke and Leeds so fans can watch every home game. Sportway have been great partners in making this happen, and we can’t wait to get started ahead of the new season.”
Stew Walker, CEO of Sportway UK, said: “This is another example of Sportway’s growing presence in UK ice hockey. We’re delighted to be working with Steve, Aaron and their team to centralise the broadcast of the three clubs. We believe the future is bright for the sport in this country, and we’re excited to bring our wealth of experience in the game to help fulfil its ambition.”
