Sportway Media Group Partners with Polish Ice-Hockey Federation to Transform Ice-Hockey Experience in Poland

Sportway Media Group (“Sportway”) is pleased to announce a new long-term partnership with the Polish Ice-Hockey Federation to elevate the ice-hockey experience in Poland through the deployment of cutting-edge AI camera technology.

Under this collaboration, Sportway will install state-of-the-art AI-powered camera systems in ice-sport venues across Poland, significantly increasing the accessibility and visibility of Polish ice-hockey. The initiative is designed to ensure that games at multiple levels of the sport can be followed by fans, friends, and family—anytime and anywhere—bringing Polish ice-hockey closer to its growing audience.

The partnership focuses on the development and promotion of ice-hockey across grassroots, youth, and federation-controlled competitions and does not include the Tauron Hokej Liga, which remains outside the scope of this agreement.

Importantly, the infrastructure build and deployment of the AI camera technology are fully financed by Sportway. This means that the investment in modern video infrastructure is made without drawing on the Polish Ice-Hockey Federation’s existing financial resources, ensuring that federation funds remain dedicated to their core mission of continuing to develop the sport, its athletes, coaches, referees, and clubs.

Beyond live streaming and on-demand viewing, the installed camera technology will play a crucial role in the sport’s development ecosystem. The solution will provide advanced video coaching tools, enabling coaches and players to review matches in detail, analyze performance, and support long-term player development. In addition, the video material will support referee education and evaluation, contributing to improved officiating standards and overall game quality.

“We are proud to begin this partnership with the Polish Ice-Hockey Federation and support the continued growth of ice-hockey in Poland,” said Daniel Franck, CEO at Sportway Media Group. “Our AI-driven technology is designed not only to make games more accessible to fans, but also to serve as a powerful development tool for players, coaches, and referees. By fully funding the infrastructure, we aim to support the federation’s long-term objectives without diverting resources away from the sport’s ongoing development.”

Krzysztof Woźniak, President of the Polish Ice-Hockey Federation, added:
“Partnering with Sportway represents an important step forward for Polish ice-hockey. The introduction of modern AI-based camera technology allows us to increase the visibility of our competitions and strengthen player, coach, and referee development—while safeguarding the federation’s resources for the continued growth of the sport at all levels.”

The partnership represents another important step in Sportway’s mission to leverage technology to enhance sports experiences and develop local talent across Europe. Together, Sportway and the Polish Ice-Hockey Federation aim to set new benchmarks for accessibility, development, and professionalism within Polish ice-hockey.
